MARBLES GONE?

This isn't my story. It is just a story. There may be meaning for you or not. Doesn't really matter, I'm just having fun, playing with marbles so to speak. All these ideas and notions like marbles rattling around in a jar. When shaken they make a lot of noise. I have had a plenty of them, still do. They served me well.
The yellow ones, and green ones and red ones...I collected a whole jar full. The more I collected, the better it seemed. The Pali Canon, sutras, shastras, madhyamaka, then tantra, oh boy, tantra, those are some cool marbles. I practiced. There were experiences that I chased by trying to figure out the marble it was. A lot of marbles, one provisional view better than the last, succeeds one another, rattling around in that jar. Then by great circumstance I met someone and it shattered that jar. I lost all my marbles. My god, they spilled out onto the ground, the yellows ones, red ones, blue ones and scattered in all directions.

It was devastating, trying to pick up the marbles of cherished ideas of how things should be, especially Dharma, and put them back into the jar. It is like dropping them into a vase with no bottom. With strong confidence and leaping, the devastation evaporated. The marbles were not lost; they were free, laying around on the ground, shining. I pick up the yellow marble and play with it, same for the red one and blue one; holding them in a jar, like possessions, seems pretty dull now.So this Great Completion encourages leaping over, breaking the jar, let the marbles go ,even the most cherished ones. They aren't going to be lost anyway. Be confident, if you can, with giving up the jar of marbles.Once in awhile, I pick up all the marbles and go home.

So if you have indulged me this long, I suggest, once in awhile pick up the marbles and go home. Your heart teacher is the ticket home, but you have to get on the bus yourself. I have found you cannot trade marbles for bus tickets. It is excellent, so I've been told.
Don't loose your marbles...Have a good week!
~metta..peace out
